About Me

Megan Sexton has spent the past three decades discovering the Carolinas. A graduate of the University of South Carolina's journalism school, she decided not to return home to New Jersey and instead make her home in the South. She worked as a reporter and editor at newspapers in Myrtle Beach, Charlotte and Columbia.

She also is the mother of two boys -- a 15-year-old high school sophomore and a 12-year-old middle schooler. She and her husband have taken the family around the country on vacation, but their favorite destination remains the South Carolina coast. That’s where their children's toes first hit the ocean and where they spend the same week every summer in the same Pawleys Island beach house. Their family hasn't been everywhere in South Carolina, but they've covered a lot of ground. And they are getting ready to cover some more.
